While we cannot legally complete the process on behalf of another business, or guarantee accreditation (as that’s ultimately Yoga Alliance’s decision and also depends on your experience as a teacher), our program exceeds the baseline requirements for approval as a RYS-200, and we even include a copy/paste application submission to simplify the process. It is ultimately up to you/ the teacher/ studio as to how they choose to structure the course. Yoga Alliance does not specify a structure, they simply note the content that must be included and delivered in the curriculum. Some people run YTTs over a period of 12 months, others are as little as 20 days (10-hour days).
No. It is a 200 hour YTT certification which covers Hatha Vinyasa (then allowing people to branch off to other styles like power or yin). It is not a specific lineage, such as Bikram, Ashtanga or Kundalini Yoga.
Yes. The program is approved by Yoga Alliance. Other national bodies recognize Yoga Alliance certification as well, so if your graduates have a particular desire to join a national yoga institution, they can!
We offer the materials to run the training in-person, so you are fully prepared with workshop material. However, you can easily offer a hybrid option too! All resources are provided, so you could simply request your students to read specific sections, such as Anatomy or Philosophy, and complete the activities and/or assessments online.
Yoga Alliance do not require the teachers specifically to mark the assessments. Most schools and trainers opt to mark them together as a group. Everyone can simply pass their sheet to a fellow yogi and mark eachother’s. Answers are called out, quiz style. This makes the experience less daunting and more interactive as well. It becomes a fun activity and keeps them on track!
